Is public viewing available?

Is public viewing available?

Yes: All lots including watches, jewellery, paintings and silverware can be physically viewed at our Premium showroom in Nottingham. We urge all our buyers to attend the viewing. If you are unable to view an item in person please be mindful before placing a bid as all our lots are strictly Sold as Seen.

Our viewing dates and times are as follows

Nottingham Premium Room – Fortnightly on Wednesday’s 10am till 12pm
James Shipstone House, Radford Road, Nottingham, NG7 7EA

Where do lots come from?

Where do lots come from?

We are a third-party auctioneer of Luxury Assets including customer returns, bankruptcy, ex-display stock and repossessions, as well as second-hand items from private individuals. Our clients vary from manufacturers and high-street retails to pawnbrokers and private individuals. Each auction comprises assets that may have come from many sources.

YES: All bids placed are subject to the addition of both Buyers Premium (+22%) PLUS the further addition of VAT (+20%) incurred ON TOP of all lots / invoice totals unless otherwise stated (examples below);

Lots with VAT: Y – £100 bid + BP (£122) PLUS VAT on BP & Bid Total = £146.40 invoice

Lots with VAT: N – £100 bid + BP (£122) PLUS VAT on BP Only = £126.40 invoice

Please factor in all of these charges when placing a bid.

Payment Methods

All auction lot payments must be made securely ONLINE by card or bank transfer. We will NOT be accepting cash or card payments on-site/in-person.

Both the Cash Offices and Coffee lounges will remain closed at this time.

Online Payments

An invoice will be emailed directly to all successful bidders as a PDF file attachment, along with our payment and collection/delivery details specific to the site from which you have purchased. Invoices will also be uploaded on your John Pye account ready for secure online payment

To pay online please log in using the account details you used to register and click on ‘My Invoices’ in the top menu at www.johnpyeauctions.co.uk

Deliveries, Collections & Couriers

Our current Luxury auctions are on a delivery only basis, unless specified.

The prices for postage are:

£10.00 ex. VAT – Up to £1,000 (hammer value)

£20.00 ex. VAT – £1,000 to £2,500 (hammer value)

£50.00 ex. VAT – £2,500 and above (hammer value)

Once payment has been received, we will aim to dispatched the item(s) to your address within 2 working days.

Alternatively, please contact our Luxury customer service team on +44 (0)1159 706 060 or at luxury@johnpye.co.uk if you would like to arrange a collection from our Nottingham site.  A replacement invoice will be raised excluding the delivery charges on collection items.

Condition of the Vehicles

All vehicles are strictly Sold As Seen. Lots can be physically assessed during viewing but carry no guarantees or warranties.

ATF Listed Vehicles

Bidding is open to trade and public but there are a fraction of lots listed as ‘ATF’ Vehicles, these particular vehicles can only be legally sold directly to Authorised Treatment Facilities and have no V5s.

Deposits & Payments

Deposits & Payments

For vehicle auctions a £200 refundable deposit is required to secure bids, full payment and vehicle removals by the deadline. Deposits are not deducted from invoice totals but are refunded upon request by emailing deposits@johnpye.co.uk or can be left on the account for future bidding. Strict vehicle payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

Collection & ID Requirements

Collection & ID Requirements

Proof of ID – 2 x Forms of ID inc. 1 x Photo ID and a Utility Bill less that 3 months old are required prior to release of vehicles. Strict payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.

NOTE: Any vehicles purchased will be registered to the buyer’s name and address as registered on the account, vehicles cannot be put under other names.
