Yes: All lots including watches, jewellery, paintings and silverware can be physically viewed at our Luxury showrooms in Bond Street and Marchington. We urge all our buyers to attend the viewing. If you are unable to view an item in person please be mindful before placing a bid as all our lots are strictly Sold as Seen.

We are a third-party auctioneer of Luxury Assets including customer returns, bankruptcy, ex-display stock and repossessions, as well as second-hand items from private individuals. Our clients vary from manufacturers and high-street retails to pawnbrokers and private individuals. Each auction comprises assets that may have come from many sources.
Yes: All lots are subject to Buyers Premium at 20% + VAT payable on top of the hammer price. Buyers Premium is a service charge and is applicable to all our lots.
The easiest way to calculate the additional fee is to add 24% to your bid amount. VAT at 20% can sometimes also be incurred on the hammer price dependant on the item sold. The easiest way to calculate the additional fee is to add 44% to your bid amount.
Please note, VAT on the hammer price is NOT applicable to ALL our lots.
To check if an item has VAT applied to the hammer price, simply click on the item you wish to view and check if there is a corresponding Y or N beneath the hammer price. Y = VAT is applicable to the hammer price, N = there will be no additional VAT applied to the hammer price.
Please find below two examples of how Buyers Premium and VAT are calculated:
£100 bid on a lot with VAT: Y & 20% BP (eg. a laptop) = £144 invoice total
£100 bid on a lot with VAT: N & 20% BP (eg. a car) = £124 invoice total
Please factor in all of these charges when placing a bid.

We do not accept cheques or American Express. International clients are advised to pay via bank transfer (please note, this will incur a £7 NBW transfer fee on top of the invoice amount).
All payment details will be disclosed in the email sent with your invoice.
An invoice will be emailed directly to all successful bidders as a PDF file attachment, along with our payment and collection details specific to the site from which you have purchased. Invoices will also be uploaded on your John Pye account ready for secure online payment
To pay online please log in using the account details you used to register and click on ‘My Invoices’ in the top menu at www.johnpyeauctions.co.uk
Once you have won an item, there are several ways to collect.

Please do not arrange a collection in branch (by yourself or by courier) without getting in touch by phone or email first.
For watches and jewellery, we also offer a Royal Mail Special Delivery service to UK mainland residences for invoices that total UNDER £2,500. These will be packaged and delivered to your requested address by 1pm the day after dispatch.
The prices for postage are:
£6.00 inc. VAT – £0 to £500 (total invoice amount)
£12.00 inc. VAT – £501 to £2,500 (total invoice amount)
Invoices above £2,500 will need to be collected in person or by a courier.
After making payment for your auction invoice, please email us at email@example.com with your request quoting your invoice number before the payment deadline.
A separate invoice for the delivery charge will be raised for payment.
Once payment for postage has been received, your items will be dispatched to your address within 2 working days.
All vehicles are strictly Sold As Seen. Lots can be physically assessed during viewing but carry no guarantees or warranties.
Bidding is open to trade and public but there are a fraction of lots listed as ‘ATF’ Vehicles, these particular vehicles can only be legally sold directly to Authorised Treatment Facilities and have no V5s.
For vehicle auctions a £200 refundable deposit is required to secure bids, full payment and vehicle removals by the deadline. Deposits are not deducted from invoice totals but are refunded upon request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or can be left on the account for future bidding. Strict vehicle payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.
Proof of ID – 2 x Forms of ID inc. 1 x Photo ID and a Utility Bill less that 3 months old are required prior to release of vehicles. Strict payment & removal deadline by 4pm the day after auction.
NOTE: Any vehicles purchased will be registered to the buyer’s name and address as registered on the account, vehicles cannot be put under other names.
